The torrential rains that began on August 12 dumped more than two feet of rain in 48 hours in parts of Louisiana and Mississippi. The resultant flooding has taken a heavy toll over the past couple of weeks, submerging homes and sending residents to emergency shelters.

Mead Johnson U.S. recently received the Spirit of Maryville award in recognition of our ongoing commitment to supply Chicago’s Maryville Crisis Nursery with enough Enfamil? Premium and Nutramigen? to meet the nutritional needs of all of the infants and children served by the crisis nursery as well as the co-located long-term medical care nursery.

Scientists from the Mead Johnson Pediatric Nutrition Institute (MJPNI) shared their research on pediatric nutrition at the 46th annual meeting of the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN), held last month in London. ESPGHAN is a premier pediatric nutrition congress attracting more than 4,000 leading research and medical professionals from around the world.
The MJPNI also hosted a symposium that brought together world leading pediatric nutrition experts to discuss the role of nutrition in optimizing pediatric health and development.

Mead Johnson Nutrition is teaming up with the Vietnam Ministry of Health to enhance food safety and quality standards throughout that country.
Vietnam recently enacted its new Food Safety Law, designed to bolster food safety through the development of a series of National Food Technical Standards and increasing public awareness about the importance of food safety, proper food preparation techniques, and superior hygiene practices.
